2nd and 3rd Year Music students travelled to Cork Airport on Tuesday afternoon to perform for the first time in their annual Christmas choir programme. The boys performed some festive carols for passengers arriving from Manchester, London Heathrow, Valencia, Lanzarote and Amsterdam. A big thank you to Cork Airport for having us!

CBC 5 Patrician Academy 2. CBC progress to the QF of the Munster Senior Soccer Cup after a great display against a strong Patrician Academy side.

Our Dean Ryan squad and management deserve enormous credit for their outstanding performance in yesterday’s final. Falling short by just two points is never easy, but the courage, skill and commitment shown throughout the game, in very difficult conditions, reflect the very best of our school and our sporting tradition. We are immensely proud of every player and coach involved. We also extend our warmest congratulations to Ardscoil Rís on their well-earned victory. Thank you

Annual Awards Evening Congratulations to all the recipients of this year’s awards which were presented at a special ceremony last week. We were delighted to announce Oran Kielty as the Br Reynolds Student of the Year 2025. Many thanks to all involved in organising this important celebration of student achievement and to everyone who attended on the night.

Congratulations to Matt Mapplebeck, 4 th  Year, who has been  selected by the Olympic Steering Committee to represent Ireland at the Youth Sailing World Championships in the International 420 Class which will be held in Portugal in December.

Congratulations to Fourth Year students Joe Scanlan, Nikhil Sundaram and Tom McRae who were among the 90 pupils from a total of over 23,000 nationally to achieve 100% in the Maggie Gough Maths Competition 2025.

In early October, CBC hosted an information evening for prospective students for Notre Dame University, Indiana. Interested students and parents in Senior cycle in CBC were provided with an extensive presentation about Notre Dame University and the application process to the college and the USA by the Recruitment Officer for Notre Dame, Erin Camilleri. Erin was joined by an Alumni, Kate, who is presently pursuing postgraduate studies in UCC, and our former past pupil's parent

Congratulations to our Senior Hurling team who defeated Midleton CBS by 1-19 to 0-21 in the O’Callaghan Cup quarter final yesterday.
