ESERO Ireland Discover Space Student Award

Cathal Lyons and Raed Nasser, Sixth Year, presented 'Launching Ireland’s Future: Astronomy for the Leaving Certificate,' a project examining how astronomy could be more effectively promoted within senior cycle education in Ireland. Their project received the ESERO Ireland Discover Space Student Award at SciFest last May. Following this, they were invited to make a presentation at the headquarters of Research Ireland, Dublin, today and network with researchers and other students. They were noted for being excellent public speakers and were encouraged to take this project further in the future.
