Junior and Senior Supervised Study is an optional facility which runs in CBC throughout the academic year. The intention of the programme is to provide pupils with a facility that allows them to do homework, reinforce work done in class and prepare for exams in an appropriate atmosphere. 

 

Afternoon study takes place for Monday to Friday, while evening and Saturday morning study is also held for Sixth Year students.  Additional Study sessions are arranged for holiday periods. Students select their study periods twice a year, allowing them to respond to their changing needs as the year progresses. 

 

We believe that the best place to study is at home, in a designated study area, since success in exams depends in part on the development of self-directed learning skills and intrinsic motivation. However, we are aware that for some students this is not always feasible for one reason or another, so Supervised Study allows for all students to access an alternative study facility should they need it.
