Soccer
Soccer in CBC started initially as a TY Activity in 2003 as the College entered the U17 Cork Cup for the First Time.
In a competition, which at the time had 16 entries, CBC emerged victorious beating Douglas Community School on penalties in the decider in UCC.
It has gone from strength to strength since then and the College is now very competitive across all age groups in Cork and Munster in competitions that attract over 70 school entries.. Teams enter competitions in First Year, U15, U16, U17 and U19 levels.
Students have been recognised at National and International levels.
5 students, Kynan Rocks (2013) ,
Alex O Brien ( 2015), Ronan Hennessy (2016), Evan Lynch ( 2023) and Finn Dalton ( 2024) have represented Munster Schools at the Interprovisonals tournaments in Dublin


Kynan Rocks and Evan Lynch both went on to represent Ireland Schools in the Home Nations tournament.
Tom McGrath, currently in Transition Year, has full Irish International Caps at U15, U16 and U17 levels.
David Meyler, Class of 2006 has full Ireland Caps and is currently Assistant Manager for Cork City.
Over 20 students in the College have also played League of Ireland soccer at underage level, 15 of those students are still in the College.
