The College Campus

Christian Brothers College is situated on a 4.5 acre site at the top of Sidney Hill, within easy walking distance of the city centre, main bus station and train station. This quiet, elevated site has a southern aspect and commands a panoramic view of the city. The buildings are set in beautifully landscaped surroundings.

CBC comprises a preparatory school and a secondary school.

The College is proud of its facilities:

  • A self-contained First Year area on campus.

  • Sporting facilities including an all-weather Astro pitch, full size PE hall, state of the art Fitness Suite and the Lansdowne Sports Complex featuring high quality rugby pitches and ancillary services.

  • A specialist Music Room to facilitate those who wish to become involved in the College Orchestra and Choir.

  • A dedicated IT Lab. All classrooms are also equipped to meet ICT requirements in delivering high quality learning and teaching.

  • Four modern laboratories and a dedicated Demonstration Room to facilitate the full complement of science subjects.

  • A Dining Hall providing hot and cold options and a full dinner service at lunchtime.

  • An up to date Library for research and lending purposes. The awarding of the prestigious Well Read flag is testament to CBC’s ongoing commitment to literacy.

  • An Oratory to support the College’s spiritual programme

  • Two fully equipped Art studios

The College benefits from regular infrastructural developments and is committed to enhancing its facilities on an ongoing basis in anticipation of the evolving needs of our learners.
