International Maths Success

Congratulations to four CBC students who recently achieved top honours in the Final Round of the International Youth Math Challenge.

John Murphy, 3rd Year, was awarded the Gold Honour which recognises achievement in the top 2% among the 9800 participants globally. Nikhil Sundaram, 4th Year, Oscar de Roiste, 4th Year, and Charlie Liang, 5th Year, were awarded the Bronze Honour, having ranked among the top 7% globally. In addition, John and Nikhil were ranked First and Third in Ireland.

The International Youth Math Challenge is a global mathematics competition that encourages students to challenge themselves beyond their curriculum and develop their problem-solving skills. The Final Round represents the most advanced stage of the competition.
