5 May 2007: Blessed Edmund Rice Feast Day
The feast day of our founder, Blessed Edmund Rice, was celebrated in the College this year on Friday, 4th May, 2007. The occasion was marked by a special mass celebrated by Fr. Anthony Morris O.P. and attended on his occasion by all first year students, third year students in addition to students on the Meitheal Team and those travelling to Zambia in 2007. The liturgy was prepared by the R.E. Department under the direction of Ms Lorna Mulvany and Mr Simon Kelliher. The first year choir was conducted by Mrs. Catherine Costello and the school orchestra by Mr Sean Dunne, the choir was also joined by Ms Catherine Welch.
Later in May, the Meitheal Team were recipients of an Edmund Rice Awart presented by Mr John Allen at a ceremony in the Silver Springs Moran Hotel.
