Blessed Edmund Rice - Click for more info

Message from Principal - Dr Laurence A. Jordan

Welcome to the new Christian Brothers College website. Here in the College we are conscious of the need to embrace the information society we are now living in, and develop our facilities accordingly. We have a state of the art computer room available to our students. Our staff use computers in the administration of the College, and we use information technology to teach languages, science and business. It is only fitting then that we develop this website to provide up to date news and information on life in Christian Brothers College in the most globally accessible, and technologically enabled manner.

While we note the need to move with new developments in society, so too must we be mindful of our past. Christians College has a proud history, and strong Catholic ethos. Founded by the Christian Brothers, some of Ireland's finest young men have been educated within these walls, going out into the world instilled with the beliefs of Blessed Edmund Rice. Our Board of Management and staff are conscious of the burden placed on our shoulders to protect our heritage and tradition, and continue the work of the Christian Brothers in this challenging new millennium.

On this website you will find information regarding the Preparatory School and Secondary College - academic life, extra-curricular activities, sports, charitable events, school news, the Past Pupils' Union, and contact information for the College. Though academic and sporting successes may fill these webpages, our true goal in Christian Brothers College is to help our pupils become well rounded individuals, developing mentally, socially, and spiritually - "Mena Sana in Corpora Sana" (A Healthy Body in A Healthy Mind). In this respect Christians offers a complete education, catering towards the different needs, abilities and talents of our pupils.

This website can offer but a glimpse of why thousands of students have chosen to live their lives as Christians boys, to 'Fight the Good Fight'. Should you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact the College. We always welcome your calls and enquiries, and you can contact me personally at principal@cbccork.ie. I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards,
Dr Laurence A. Jordan
